Well, there were all sorts of suggestions how they did the trick, but here is the answer.

Phones To Consider When You Are Super Rich

I visited Motorola in Turin not so long ago. In their reception area they had a cabinet displaying some of their high range devices. One of them was solid gold Razor, the ultimate bling. As this weekend’s Euro Millions Lottery is a massive £120 million roll over jackpot, it got me thinking about what I would do with the money should I be fortunate enough to have the winning ticket on Saturday morning.

Woohoo Friday, and they tell me the weather is going to be nice this weekend. Time to dust off the BBQ or is that pushing my luck?

FUN: Alternative Endings To Your Favorite Movies
Posted by Lester Madden under General
Good morning and happy Easter. There is probably news around today but having just woke up I’m looking forward to going out in the garden and doing some of the jobs the wife as set aside for me. Putting up lights, putting up a garden fence and no doubt more will follow.

Friday Fun: Twouble With Twitters
Posted by Lester Madden under General
No big post today unless I get a bit of time later between updating salesforce.
I was subscribing on Twitter to one of the presenters from the gadget show. It lasted about a day before I cracked under the endless tweats about baking a cake before I had to remove them and get back to sanity. Don’t pointless tweats every 10 minutes about mind numbing crap drive you crazy?

Gadget Time: Sifftables

Strange day today as it’s my last day as a Nokia employee. It’s been a bit of a strange year really, this will be my 3rd employer since Christmas and I haven’t moved desk once. Of course the moves have been due to Nokia acquiring Symbian, and now with the Symbian Foundation being launched tomorrow I’ll be taking up the position of Developer Marketing Manager making what I hope is my final move of the year.

Augumented Reality Demo For Nokia Devices

When I left school I wanted to write computer games. The problem was couldn’t draw so my skills in the computer gaming world were somewhat limited. So I ended up doing systems programming which didn’t require any game development skills, just good old ODBC to suck data out a database somewhere and display it in a form. I still shed the odd tear at what could have been but I am content with playing games and keeping up to date with future gaming technology.

It’s been a while since I blogged. Not because I have forgotten or been stumped for words recently, but I had laser vision correction surgery last weekend and my focusing has not been that great. It’s normal apparently, it takes around a week for the vision to settle down. It’s getting better but still hard to focus on the screen.

Everybody Hates iPhone

No blog yesterday. I went to the opticians and they put some drops in my eyes and told me that I would be sensitive to light for a few hours. Looking at my monitor was like looking at a million suns.

Coming Soon To A Smartphone Near You

We have been able to listen to music on smartphones for a while now. I’m guessing there are not that many models that don’t have the ability to play MP3s shipping anymore. Movies are taken for granted as well with almost every phone model being able to support video playback. Watching movies however on a small screen is not for everyone. I find those seatback video screens on airplanes small enough as it is. Except when the person in front puts their seat right back and it presses up against your face for the next 8 long miserable hours. ah the joys of travelling economy.

The Future Is Already Here

A guy called Charles H. Duell who was the commissioner of the US patents office back in 1899 once said, “everything that can be invented has been invented”. Well he got that one wrong. Funny though, last week I was raving over Microsoft’s augmented reality project only to find that there is a game available on Symbian OS for the Nokia N95.
