I blogged about Sticky Light yesterday on my other blog AugmentedPlanet, but since its pretty cool I’ll throw it out here as well.
I’m at a bit of a loss on how to describe it, but here goes. Sticky Light is a 3D tracking technology developed by the University of Tokyo. In simple terms you point the ‘smart laser scanner’ at something, eg a drawing and it will trace the outline. You can draw in real-time and the light will continue track what you are drawing, or use your hands to interact with the laser and play pong with a buddy just by hitting the light.
I feel like I am trying to explain the unexplainable, watch the demo and you’ll want one.
Is it just me or would a Tron Fisbee game made with Sticky Light be cool?
