Strange day today as it’s my last day as a Nokia employee. It’s been a bit of a strange year really, this will be my 3rd employer since Christmas and I haven’t moved desk once. Of course the moves have been due to Nokia acquiring Symbian, and now with the Symbian Foundation being launched tomorrow I’ll be taking up the position of Developer Marketing Manager making what I hope is my final move of the year.
Though I did get an email on LinkedIn this morning asking me if I need any assistance developing iPhone applications, so perhaps someone knows something I don’t.
Tonight I’ll be at the Betavine event in London giving a sneak peak of the new Symbian Foundation branding. You’ll see a lot of it over the next few days, but if you are at the event be sure to pop over and say hello.
Every now and then you come across some cool technology that’s mind blowing and you think “oh wow I want one of those”. Sifftables are so cool, I have no idea what I would use them for, or why I would want them, but want I do. Sifftables are tiny cookie sized computerized tiles that interact with each other, you can stack and shuffle them, play music, do maths puzzles and a whole lot more.
When you see this sort of stuff it makes you want to give up your job and play around with cool gadgets like this all day.
